Description

Supine Stander – Standing System

The Jenx range of Supine Standers provide robust support and safety, in three sizes. They are suitable for children standing in a supine position from around 9mths up to adults of up to 100kg. The Supine Stander offers a range of vibrant colours – boards can be ordered in Pink, Red, Blue, Lime or Neutral (grey). We also offer a manual Supine Stander 2 – a more economic option for those who don’t require a power assisted electric adjustment.

Sizes:
Supine Stander 1: 9mths – 4yrs, max user weight 25kg
Supine Stander 2: 3yrs – 11yrs, max user weight 50kg
Supine Stander 3: 10yrs-adult, max user weight 100kg

Supine Stander – Standing System

Standing is a dynamic process requiring tiny movements of many joints alongside control of the limbs. The Jenx range of supine standers are designed to support standing by enabling the joints to be supported but mobile – this trains balance and encourages development. The range of accessories available plus the ability to adjust the angle from fully horizontal through to upright mean that the Supine Standers provide oustanding postural support and pelvic stability. In addition as each frame can be fully reclined to the horizontal position and all supports removed, this minimises transfer time and manual handling risks to the user and carer.

Features:

  • PU Support Pads
    • Flexible, easy to clean and impervious to fluids, PU boards and support pads ensure the Supine Stander can be kept clean and hygienic for infection control
    • New bright colours in Pink, Red, Blue, Lime or Neutral mean that boards can be matched with different coloured PU accessories
  • De-rotational Thoracic and Pelvic Straps with Lateral Support Pads
    • Straps fasten in the centre and adjust independently from either side, enabling a mid-line position to be achieved and maintained
    • Buckles and velcro mean that once adjusted correctly the straps can be fixed ensuring they are safe and secure
    • Support pads available in small, medium, large, XL and slimline options
  • Abduction Block
    • (Supine Stander size 3 only) Unique height adjustable abduction block with simple options to create varying degrees of abduction quickly and easily
  • Knee Flexion Pads
    • Knee support pads complete with de-rotational straps and adjustable padding to accommodate fixed knee flexion in standing
  • Smooth and Simple Adjustment
    • Angle can be adjusted with the child in the standing frame
    • Easily set up using the angle gauge on the frame
    • Frame can be tilted to be completely horizontal
    • Power assisted option or manual option on Size 2
    • On Supine Stander size 3, numbered boards enable set ups to be recorded and recreated in a multi-user environment

Multigrip™ Headrests
The Jenx Multigrip™ headrest is now available in 3 sizes for all Jenx seating and standing systems. All Jenx Multigrip™ head supports have a choice of various highly flexible fixing brackets, all of which give adjustment for height, depth and angle.
Head Pad Cushion with Side Supports
Use to provide simple head support. Simply velcro into place. Requires 2 small side pads to be used.
Support Pads with Straps
PU support pads available in a range of different colours. Adjust these to support or brace the child and help to improve symmetry.
Knee Blocks with De-Rotational Strap
With straps designed specially for supine, the knee blocks can be adjusted through five planes of movement.
Flexion Control Knee Support
To stop the bending at the knee and keep the body in midline.
Tray
The tray gives a surface for the child to play and learn on. It is adjustable for height and angle and can be removed.
Elbow Blocks for Tray
Used to encourage arms into a midline position and/or to block excessive retraction, made from gray polyurethane foam and come as a pair.
PU Spacer Block
For additional abduction or spacing on knee flexion pads. Fully moulded from hygienic PU, simply attaches with hook and loop fastner. Seamless and easy to clean.
Abduction Block
Used to keep the body in midline.
Arched Foam Pad
Secure each child with the best possible position for sound weight bearing.
Sandals
Available in 4 different sizes to accommodate and size of foot, even when wearing splints, Jenx sandals are interchangeable across the entire range of Jenx seating and standing products.
Sandal Raising Blocks
Available for every size of Jenx sandals the raising block kits* give the sandals that extra bit of height where needed! Use 1 set to accommodate for leg length discrepancy or use 2 sets to raise the height of the footplate on any product to maximise the available growth. Measurements (mm/inches):
1 Riser = 0.7”
2 Risers = 1.3”
3 Risers = 2”
4 Risers = 2.7”
